Go see Live Free or Die Hard!

If you haven’t been to see the movie Live Free or Die Hard go and do it!!

I first saw the previews for this movie last December and I swear the men in the audience all gasped, as if they couldn’t believe their good fortune that the Die Hard series was back.

I’m not really so big on action movies but this was great. I kinda like Bruce Willis – I mean at least he’s way better than Demi Moore. Timothy Olyphant, who plays the bad guy, was just as delicious as always.

And I have loved Justin Long ever since he played Warren P. Cheswick on the ill-fated Ed, but did not realize he also played a character on King of the Hill last year. And I love him so much in the Mac commercials that he has nearly convinced me to buy one. (Note that I said nearly! I still prefer a real computer thank you very much.)

Anywho, the movie had me digging my fingernails into the armrests pretty much the entire time with all the shoot em up, hanging by a thread, dire situations where, for some bizarre reason, each time I was convinced it might be the end for our beloved John McClane.

(Of course I’m not revealing anything by telling you that the good guys win – you already knew that right?)

btw, it was worth the $7.75 I paid to see the matinee version but did you know that at the AMC theaters you can get in for $5 if you go before noon on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays? AND if you sign up for the Movie Watcher card thingy you get points each time you buy a ticket and eventually you can get free popcorn and free tickets and such.

The closest AMC theaters around here are the Westminster Promenade and the Flatiron Crossing.
