National Apple Dumpling Day

Ellie peeling apples
I feel bad because I completely forgot to mention National Apple Dumpling Day which was actually yesterday (the 17th) so I’ve decided to discuss it today lest anyone be missing it. Besides, you may have all those great fall apples piled up on your counter and be wondering what to do with them. Personally, I have a giant box of peaches sitting on my counter but that’s for another day.

Here is an actual picture of an apple dumpling along with instructions on making one for yourself
. (I wonder if I could make one with peaches?)

If you need to actually go and get some apples try the Boulder Farmer’s Market through November 1. I’ve been there many times and I always take the dog because of course it’s Boulder!

Here’s a link to the Longmont Farmer’s market.

I have to admit I’m not sure how long the Broomfield (Legacy High School) Farmer’s Market will continue but you can read about it here in the Broomfield Enterprise
