First time home buyer Tip #3

Once you’re under contract on a property do NOT go out and buy a bunch of “stuff.” Sure it’s tempting to go put new furniture on layaway or even buy a new car but it can seriously undermine your mortgage approval. The lender can decide you took on too much additional debt and pull the mortgage. This has never been truer than it is now where buyers are still having difficulty obtaining mortgages. Wait until you close on the property before you spend any more money.
