Some experts are predicting that interest rates on mortgages will hit 7% next year. If you have the money for the down payment, the inspection, the appraisal, the earnest money, the mortgage(!) etc. and were planning to buy in the near future anyway, this may truly be the time to get out and start looking. Some home buyers/sellers back off during the holiday season which is why this may be another ideal time to snap up a bargain.
