First time home buyer tip #19

winnie 014 accountant kitty is not amused
If you decide to buy a home this year it might be a very good idea to hire an accountant to do your taxes, especially if you are confused as to exactly what and how much you can write off. The IRS (shockingly!) has a wide variety of rules and regs regarding how to handle funds that you spend on moving, mortgage interest, and the first time home buyer credit, etc. Hiring an accountant may lessen your chances of making a mistake and/or being audited. And you can write off the fee your accountant charges to do your taxes!

I love helping first time home buyers so if you have any questions or would like help viewing an available home please don’t hesitate to contact me at 303.887.1883 or beth@bethskinner.com.
