Year after year this is one of my most popular posts. And this year is sure to be no exception with the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl! In fact, in honor of the occasion I’m making this year’s post bigger and better than ever! So far I have listed special Super Bowl watch parties at sport’s bars, nightclubs, restaurants, Meetups parties and even family activities.
Best Sport’s Bars, Nightclubs and Restaurants in the Denver area to watch the Broncos win the Super Bowl
I don’t think you can go wrong with a party in a brewery (especially a Colorado brewery) so you should definitely visit Bootstrap Brewery in Niwot at 6778 N 79th St. Starting at 3 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday the Niwot Market will be offering an all you can eat option too. You can check out the beers they have on tap right here. They have some good reviews on yelp too.
Bender’s Bar & Grill in Westminster is your Super Bowl Headquarters! Complete with a 70″ screen, along with 55 inch screens on either side of that AND a newly-just-for-the-Broncos-Super-Bowl-run-purchased 55 inch screen that sits above the pool tables. If you have 8 or more in your party you can make a reservation but they’d like you to show up at least an hour before kick off. They’ll have $3 shots, $3.79 26 oz Bud Lights, $5.50 26 oz. Breckenridge Avalanches and Breckenridge Vanilla Porters. You can also visit their website to learn more about their game day catering options in case you’re planning on chilling at home but want some great food to go along with it.
Head up north to Boulder and the West End Tavern at 926 Pearl St and take your BBQ to go or eat it there. For $23 per person they’re offering pork ribs, pulled pork, hot links, brisket, BBQ chicken, pork belly baked beans, potato salad, crunchy claw, Texas toast. They have 5 flat screens, $3.50 Great Divide Nomad Pilsner, $2 old style cans and $4 Jim Beam. According to their Facebook page they’are also offering homemade pork rinds and jalapeno poppers. They’re even offering SNOW specials today! Cookie Sundaes. Oh yeah! They get really good reviews on yelp.
The TAG Burger Bar at 1222 Madison St is celebrating with $1 off all draft beers, $5 wings, $5 appetizers and so on. According to the Denver Food Guys, TAG has been “creating and dishing out some of the most epic burgers since October of 2012.” Epic burgers sounds pretty good to me! They also get pretty good reviews at Urbanspoon. You can join them for brunch and stay for the game!
For those looking to start early, and I do mean early(!) – Punch Bowl Social at 65 Broadway opens at 8 a.m. Super Bowl Sunday. If you think you can handle it, they have 24,000 square feet of fun with 16 tv’s with surround sound. 50 cent wings, $6 PBR and a shot, $2 Bud – all sorts of great stuff! They are the proud winners of Westword’s Best of Denver in 2013.
Seems like this place has tacos everyone is talking about – Los Chingones – and they’re opening at 2 p.m. and are urging taco and Super Bowl fans everywhere to head down early to grab a seat and a taco (I LOVE TACOS! I could eat them nearly every night for dinner) and enjoy the game and the atmosphere. They’re also featuring $5 T&T’s which is tequila and tang. And don’t forget the $12 buckets of Dad’s Pick Beers.
The Jonesy’s want you to head over to their living room for the Big Game. That would be Jonesy’s EatBar at 400 E 20th Ave where you can kick back in comfort and watch the Super Bowl on large HD screens. Of course there will be food and drink tailgate specials the entire time!
If “ale battered onion rings with spicy mayo” sounds like its right up your alley (c’mon, how could they not be!?) you might want to check out the 1515 Restaurant at 1515 Market St where they’ll have tv’s in the lounge and are featuring all sorts of amazing things to eat: Loaded Nachos with Pickled Peppers, Salsa and Queso and Braised Bratwurst with Denver-style Sauerkraut, Cheese Sauce and 1515 Cheddar Burger with Fries, Pickles and that’s just for starters!
OMG! Can it be?! An entire party at a dessert bar? A dessert and cocktail bar? Could there be a more delightful place to hang out? Starting at 2 p.m. Crave Dessert Bar & Lounge will fire up their giant projector so you can watch the game AND they’ll have food from the Organic Pizza Co. I’ll take one of all the desserts and several cocktails please! What a beautiful place to be!
If you’re a fan of Comida whether it’s their food trucks or The Cantina’s in Longmont at 721 Confidence Dr or in Denver at 3350 Brighton Blvd. you can enjoy their Super Bowl Sunday Tailgate Brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At the ViewHouse Eatery, Bar & Rooftop at 2015 Market St they’re calling their party the “Biggest Sunday Funday Party” of the year! They’ll be giving away prizes including a 55″ LG 3D smart tv. They have 42 plasma hdtv’s to watch the game on, $2 touchdown shots, nachos, burgers & beer and so on and so on!
How could Elway’s Downtown restaurant not have some sort of Super Bowl party, right? According to an article in The Examiner they’ll set up the back half of the restaurant starting at 3:30 p.m. and they’ll have a pre-game starter menu as well as the full menu that starts at 4:30 p.m. An 8-foot screen will be provided for your viewing pleasure! And yes, you can make reservations.
Zengo, at 1610 Little Raven St in Denver will be open for a Bottomless Super Bowl Brunch from 10:30 to 2:30 p.m. at $35 per guest and bottomless food plus free flowing cocktails. They’re closed at 2:30 p.m. but you can head next door to La Biblioteca for the party.

Then the Viewing Party starts at 4 p.m. on the terrace with big screen tv’s. Every time the Broncos score a touchdown, each guest will get a free shot of Mile High Spanish Fly.
Reserve your spot at Maya La Biblioteca now for the Big Game! Bottomless Viewing Party (ummm that’s doesn’t mean what I think it means, right?) 4-10 p.m. $35 per person includes bottomless food (oh!) and free flowing cocktails (now we’re talking!).
Looking for a taste of the Irish on Super Bowl Sunday? Try Katie Mullen’s Irish Restaurant & Pub beside the Sheraton Hotel at 1550 Court Pl – 16th St Mall. If you want, you can bring a group and book an area to yourself. They have 14 large screen tvs. Katie Mullen’s is 100% Irish owned and operated and all efforts have been made to bring a real authentic Irish dining and socializing experience to the customer.
Harry’s Bar at the Magnolia Hotel Denver at 818 17th St. will be celebrating the Super Bowl in a big way this year! Complete with a $50 bar tab giveaway (what the heck, that’s worth a few beers, right?), $20 for unlimited draft beers, unlimited free wings with a beverage purchase (they’re giving a lot away!), a 10 ft TV screen, Omaha Beef Sliders and 18% off all draft beers, wines or spirits all day. (Okay, I don’t get the 18% figure but what the heck. LOL!) And how about Manning’s Bucket of Buds – $18 for an ice cold bucket of 5 Bud Lights. They’re also featuring a Victory Dinner: $24 for 2 people including Omaha Beef Sliders and 4 bud lights. And a $5 Cocktail special featuring “Bailey’s,” Midori Melon, and topped with Jagermeister.
Edge Restaurant and Bar at 1111 14th St in Denver is definitely breaking out the ORANGE for Super Bowl Sunday and they want you to come down and enjoy the party with them. $3 draft pints, $12 pitchers, and half off selected appetizers. AND the delicious special of the day will be Sriracha & Honey Glazed Chicken Wings for $7. How could anyone pass those up?
If you want to do more than just quaff beer, stuff your face with wings, and watch the commercials why don’t you join the party at the LoHi Steakbar at 3200 Tejon St? They’re not only cheering on the Broncos, they’re raising money for Children’s Hospital. For every $25 donation, you will receive complimentary select draft beers, appetizers, and specialty drinks. 100% of the proceeds will go to Children’s Hospital Colorado.
The Glenn Bar & Grill at 11140 Irma Dr in Northglenn will be having live music with Josh Blackburn from 1 – 4 p.m. and then the Super Bowl begins! Free Jello shots for every Bronco touchdown, $2 Bud Light drafts, and half price wings!
The Nite Owl Sports Bar & Grill in Lakewood at 1050 S Wadsworth Blvd would like you to join them to cheer on the Broncos where they’ll have Happy Hour all day long. (Now that’s a Happy Hour!) If you’re more the stay at home and cheer type, that’s ok too and you can get 30 wings for $9.99!
It looks like all 3 Lodo’s Bar & Grill restaurants: Westminster, Highlands Ranch and Downtown Denver will be hosting Super Bowl parties with food and drink specials all day long. No reservations required!
You know you can’t wait until February 2 to party, so head over to the Grizzly Rose on Saturday, February 1, starting at 5 p.m. Lewis & Floorwax & the Groovehawgs with surprise guests and giveaways. If you wear orange you get in free.

They have 3 hdtv’s and will be offering $2 Budweiser, Bud Light and Coors Light, plus 25% off all Sliders- Buffalo Chicken, Cheeseburger, BBQ Pork, and French Dip. AND Guinness Beer Bratwurst on a Toasted Hoagie Roll with Dijon Mustard, French Fries for $8.95 – how does that not sound really good? The party starts at 4:30 p.m.
Admittedly, I had never even heard of this place – the Denver Biscuit Company – an entire restaurant based on buttermilk biscuits! Here’s their menu. I kind of have my eye on “The Jack Lee” – bacon and grape jelly. I have no idea how that would taste, but it sounds fascinating. And the “The Dahlia” made with sausage patty, apple butter, fried egg, maple syrup – there’s no way that isn’t really good. Oh and “Strawberry Shortcake” with strawberries and whipped cream. Okay! Where was I? Oh yeah, the Big Game – they’re having their first ever Biscuits for Broncos Super Bowl Watch Party starting at 4:30 and they’re not taking reservations so get there early! They’ll have drink specials throughout the game too.
Even though the Twin Peaks link is for the bar in Las Vegas they say that it applies to all their bars. Super Bowl Sunday is actually their Fantasy Bowl Party – lots of lingerie! The party starts at noon and of course they’ll be airing the actual Big Game. You can see their menu here.
And we have the Cherry Cricket which is my fave I think mostly because of the sweets they offer! $4 bites on game day include the Super Bowl Sundae which is made of deep fried ice cream in a tortilla bowl with chocolate and raspberry sauce. And then there’s the Deep Fried Spicy Cheesecakes with bacon crumbles, jalapenos and raspberry, chocolate & strawberry sauces! The Fainting Goat Pub (I love that name!) is urging Super Bowl fans to make reservations now for the Big Game. It was voted the Best Irish Pub by Denver’s A-List for 2009 and 2010 and in 2011 it was voted a Top-5 Denver Patio Bar by Westword. They actually have an entire basket of tater tots and dipping sauce on the menu! Yippee!
The Bark Bar in Denver at 4132 W 38th Ave is celebrating the Super Bowl by inviting canines and their Super Bowl loving parents in for the celebration. The party starts at 4 p.m. on Sunday, and because the furry friends will be along, you’ll have to order takeout yourself (you know how those ridiculous regulations are – this isn’t Europe after all) – you can have a pizza delivered or bring a sack lunch. An interesting note is that on Tuesdays they give 25% off to pet parents whose dogs have 3 legs. Now I have a cat who is missing his back feet – do you suppose that counts?
According to the Denver Post, Shine Restaurant in Boulder will be hosting a PALEO party on Super Bowl Sunday. Yes, I said PALEO. I didn’t even realize that was legal in Boulder… They’ll have wings, tacos, sliders, sweet potato fries and more plus they’ll stream the Big Game so you can’t miss that!
Govnr’s Park is taking reservations for their Super Bowl party by phone! Complete with 34 HD flat screen tvs, patio, pool room and dining room – it’s the spot to be in Denver! They get really good ratings at urbanspoon and foursquare and they have gluten free and kids menus if that’s your thing! They were also voted Denver’s best sports bar by Denver’s A List last year.
I’m pretty sure this one wins the best named party: The Big Game Big Gay Viewing Party! Heh. It’s at Tracks – Denver’s premiere GLBT nightclub at 3500 Walnut St. Party starts at 3 p.m. No cover charge. They’ll have a giant HD projection screen plus multiple screens throughout. Lounge seating, strong drinks and a kickass tailgate menu. They’re also offering Sky Vodka bottle service for $25 (parties of 10 or more please). They’d like you to reserve this beforehand though, so fill out the form on their site. I honestly don’t even know what “bottle service” is but it sounds very VIP-ish!
Jake’s, (3800 Walnut St) which is just a mile and a half from Coors Field in Denver’s River North Art District (I think we got lost here on the way to see Book of Mormon the Musical – can I tell you, best entertainment EVER) and they are saying to book your Super Bowl Party now because now that the Broncos are in, your group will get a free pitcher of beer and a basket of wings.
Stoney’s Bar & Grill at 1111 Lincoln St will be kicking it into high gear for Super Bowl Sunday. They can seat up to 600 people. That’s a lot of food! They have a 13×10 big screen, or 5 50″ plasma tvs. Plus game boards and prize drawings throughout the day.
Don’t miss The Ultimate Party at The Soiled Dove Underground at 7401 E 1st Ave. Tickets are $60 and cover everything! All you can eat wings, pizza, chili and more. All you can drink Bud, Bud Light and well drinks. 3 enormous 6 feet hd projector screens plus giveaways and raffle prizes! I’m stuffed just thinking about all that food. Click here for tickets. Party starts at 3:30!
My favorite part about Chopper’s Sports Grill at 80 S Madison St in Cherry Creek is the fact they have tv’s in the bathrooms (read here about the science behind “breaking the seal“). There are over 50 hdtv’s (outside the bathroom) and almost half of those are 73” tv’s.They offer over 19 Colorado brewed draft beers plus homemade pizza, Mile High Nachos, Premium Burgers, Spicy Buffalo Wings and so on.
Meetups and Group Type Activities
