Have you ever been to Ft Logan National Cemetery at 4400 W Kenyon Ave in Denver? Volunteers place flags with each headstone every year on Saturday starting early – we were told by a groundskeeper a few years ago that this once took all day, but now so many people show up it only takes a couple of hours. If you want to put flags on graves, all you have to do is show up at the cemetery and find a pile of flags to pass out. Sometimes you can find them in the huge wood boxes they have placed along the road, or you can grab one of the guys driving the golf carts with flags, or sometimes you just find another person with a huge pile of flags they’re willing to share. They also have a memorial service on Monday
They will also have a memorial service on Monday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at the flagpole.
