History: Broomfield’s Aspen Creek was established in the early to mid 2000’s with a eye on luxury. The neighborhood is split by Sheridan Blvd and residents on the east side are in the Adams 12 5-star school district, while residents on the west are in the Boulder Valley RE-2 school district. Many of the homes here are built custom or semi-custom and have unobstructed views of the mountains and/or Broomfield Open Space. Words often used to describe the homes in this neighborhood include stunning, masterpiece and impressive. The neighbors are friendly and enjoy an old-fashioned community cohesion.
Housing: Beauty, class, and style dominate in Aspen Creek Broomfield CO. The neighborhood is surrounded by the Broadlands and Country Estates neighborhoods, also considered upscale sub-divisions in Broomfield. While prices topped out at $600,000 in 2013, they have sold for as high as $800,000 in the last few years, so as with any neighborhood, it depends mainly on availability. The lowest priced home sold for $435,000 last year. The average home was on the market for 42 days. There was one short sale and one foreclosure in Aspen Creek last year. Homes range in size from approximately 2,500 square feet to over 5,000 square feet. The HOA is about $60 per month and includes access to the community pool in the summer and trash removal.
Restaurants and Shopping: Less than 10 minutes from the new Quail Creek Shopping Center at 136th Ave and Zuni St where you’ll find the largest King Sooper’s grocery store in existence. They also have a delicious Japanese restaurant Kira Sushi, Papa Murphy’s pizza, Taco Bell, Corona’s Mexican Grill, Quail Creek Wine & Spirits, Abbott’s Frozen Custard, Saigon Dragon Asian Cuisine. There’s also a Safeway shopping center at 144th Ave and Lowell Blvd in the nearby Broadlands neighborhood that includes a Nicky & Willy’s Pizza, Subway, Broadlands Liquors, Core Power Yoga, Starlight Nails & Spa, etc.
Family Fitness: Aspen Creek residents enjoy using the community pool in the summer, plus miles of walking trails throughout the neighborhood. It’s also located minutes from Broomfield County Commons where you’ll find an off-leash dog park, walking trails, ball fields, a running track, picnic pavilions, etc. There are also several gyms throughout Broomfield and Westminster including Tru-Fit, 24 Hour Fitness and the Paul Derda Rec Center.
