Events in Denver for Memorial Day Weekend
“Butterflies at Chatfield” opens May 27th through September 24th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Littleton. Almost 70 different plants and tons of butterflies! $4 for tickets.
Water World in Federal Heights opens. Water World. Raise your hand if you remember when Water World was just two slides in the middle of a dirt hill and you bought a wrist tag for 10 or 20 rides. Sigh. No, I don’t remember that I can’t be that old. Admission for guests over 48″ high is $42. If you’re under 48″ (presumably a child) the fee is $37.
Why don’t you go skiing at Aspen? Yes, you read that right! Aspen will be open for skiing and boarding this weekend due to the last minute snowfall this spring.

The 19th Annual Denver Arts Festival will take place again this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stapleton’s Conservatory Green Neighborhood. They’ll have over 100local artists, craftspeople and vendors. Live music and kids art too.
You do not want to miss the Small Batch Fest at Odell Brewing on Saturday! $35 get you two beer tokens and a stainless steel beer stein. No kids and no pets please. The event will have 50 different beers, live music and food trucks.

The Boulder Creek Festival kicks off summer this weekend and admission is free. Events, activities, food and entertainment all over the place. The Rubber Duck Race down the Creek is famous.
Estes Park Annual Art Market takes place this weekend in Bond Park with over 90 local, statewide and national artists. There’s even a Kid Row for kids.
